GRAY, Maine — The beginning of November could be greeted with winterlike weather, according to the National Weather Service.
There is a solid possibility that a low-pressure system intensifying off the mid-Atlantic coast could bring snow to parts of the state Saturday night and into Sunday, according to the weather service.
The system is expected to track northeast over the weekend, the weather service said, and if the lows track west toward Nova Scotia, the potential for a significant-to-heavy snowfall will increase.
However, the weather service stated if the track for the system holds, impact will be limited to eastern portions of Maine.
Up-to-date forecasts are available on the weather service website.
