Game notes: The Black Bears will look to snap a three-game losing streak. BU is 19-8-5 in the last 32 meetings with the Black Bears including last Friday’s 3-1 win in Orono. Freshman sensation Eichel has registered at least a point in every game including a goal and an assist last Friday. The 6-foot-6 O’Connor was outstanding in the win, finishing with 27 saves. Maine also failed to get to some juicy rebounds and will have to do so on Friday. The Bears will also have to manage the puck well because BU has a lot of speed and will transition a turnover into a scoring chance. BC had an uncharacteristic four-game losing streak that it snapped with a 3-2 win at Michigan State last Friday. BC had scored just 10 goals in its last five games entering Friday’s game at UMass. Maine will have to be aware of All-American Matheson, who leads the team in shots on goal with 35, along with Fitzgerald. BC has outscored its opponents 16-6 in the second period.
