Every Manpower office in Maine will have free cards available through Tuesday, Dec. 2, to send to soldiers and their families.
April Clark, Manpower Maine president, said, “Last year we collected and sent 550 personally signed cards, and this community service project was so successful that our goal is to collect even more. We are particularly excited that this year all our collected cards will go to Maine heroes. It’s an added bonus that we are serving people from our own communities.”
“The American Red Cross is glad to have Manpower Maine as a partner in this program for the second year in a row,” said James Tracey, serving armed forces coordinator for the American Red Cross Maine.
Clark said, “Whether you are a Manpower associate, an applicant or simply a caring citizen, we invite you to visit any of our Manpower Maine offices, write your message on a card that we provide, and we will mail the card for you. Manpower takes social responsibility seriously, and we know you do too. Help us thank our heroes.”
