LYNN, Massachusetts — O.J. Moore scored 15 of his game-high 25 points in the second half on Saturday, leading Fisher College to an 85-80 men’s basketball victory over the University of Maine-Fort Kent at Fectau-Leary Gym.

Geodice Ortiz scored 10 points, Tyler SHular netted nine and Jonas Rusom added eight for the Falcons.

Mauro Vicic paced the Bengals with 20 points and Joe McCloskey posted 19 points and eight rebounds. Jake Rioux (4 assists) scored 14 points and Qaadir Ali (7 assists) contributed 12 points.

Maryland 73, Oklahoma St. 64

Jake Layman posted 21 points and 11 rebounds as the Terrapins won their first true road game of the season over the Cowboys.

Melo Trimble supplied 15 points, four rebounds and four assists and Jared Nickens added 11 points and both he and Layman made three 3-pointers for Maryland (11-1). Evan Smotrycz chipped in eight points and four rebounds for the Terrapins, who made 10-of-26 from beyond the arc and 15-of-18 at the line.

Le’Bryan Nash registered 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting and snared nine rebounds for Oklahoma State (9-2). Anthony Hickey Jr. posted 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and Phil Forte III had 13 points and three triples for the Cowboys, who lost at home for the first time this season.

Virginia 76, Harvard 27

Mike Tobey scored 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Cavaliers dominated the visiting Crimson.

Malcolm Brogdon added 15 points, six rebounds and six assists for Virginia (11-0), which set a school shot-clock era record with eight points allowed in the first half. The Cavaliers entered with the second-best scoring defense in the country (48.1 points) and completely stifled Harvard in holding their second opponent of the season under 30.

Steve Moundou-Missi was the only starter to connect from the field and finished with six points on 1-of-8 shooting for the Crimson (7-2). Corbin Miller hit a pair of 3-pointers off the bench and leading scorer Wesley Saunders, who came in averaging 20.1 points, managed four free throws.

Tobey scored the first seven points of the game before Zena Edosomwan connected on Harvard’s lone field goal of the period. Brogdon’s jumper pushed it to 30-4 with 5 1/2 minutes left in the half and Virginia took a 39-8 cushion into the locker room.

Hartford 82, FIU 69

The Hartford Hawks put five players in double figures and took advantage of the Florida International Panthers’ careless ball-handling to post an 82-69 victory at Chase Arena in West Hartford, Conn., on Sunday.

The Hawks’ balanced scoring overcame a 29-point effort by FIU forward Adrian Diaz, who dominated inside in going 13 of 14 from the field.

Guard Yolono Moore II led Hartford with 19 points but got support from guard Taylor Dyson with 16, forward Mark Nwakamma with 15, guard Corban Wroe with 12 and guard Wes Cole with 11.

Guards Dominique Williams and Ray Rodriguez with 11 points each were the only other Panthers in double figures.

FIU dropped to 6-6 on the season in losing for the third time in its last four games, all on the road. Hartford improved to 7-5 in picking up its second victory in its last six games.

Stony Brook 67, Loyola (Md.) 52

Jameel Warney finished with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Stony Brook Seawolves took command in the second half and scored a 67-52 victory over the Loyola of Maryland Greyhounds on Sunday at the Island Federal Credit Union Arena in Stony Brook, N.Y.

Warney, a forward, also added seven blocks as Stony Brook (6-6) made life tough for Loyola (3-7) inside. Both teams struggled on offense in the first half, which ended in a 26-26 tie.

Stony Brook took the lead for good with a six-point run early in the second half. That put the Seawolves up, 41-35, and Stony Brook scored 41 in the final 20 minutes.

The Greyhounds never found their rhythm on offense. They finished shooting just 32 percent (15-for-47) from the field and lost for the sixth time in seven games.

Guard Cam Gregory led the Greyhounds with 14 points, and backcourt mate Tyler Hubbard added 10. But no other Loyola player scored more than six points.

USC 75, Boston College 71

Elijah Stewart missed only one shot from the field en route to 22 points as the visiting Trojans prevailed.

Stewart was 10-of-11 from the floor and made both of his 3-pointers. Nikola Jovanovic notched 16 points and nine rebounds and Katin Reinhardt chipped in 14 points in a reserve role for USC (7-4), which has won five of its last six games, suffering only an overtime loss to Army last weekend.

Stewart actually was 0-of-4 from the foul line, but his teammates combined to go 13-of-15, including 11-of-12 in the final two minutes. Aaron Brown had 18 points for Boston College (6-4), while Olivier Hanlan shot 6-of-21 for 15 points and dished out eight assists.

Quinnipiac 60, Oregon State 52

Zaid Hearst scored 24 points, including 11-of-11 shooting from the free-throw line, to lead the host Bobcats to a win over the Beavers.

Evan Conti had 14 points and six rebounds for Quinnipiac (5-5), which won its second straight. Hearst and Conti combined for 10 of the Bobcats’ 19 field goals, with the other eight players on the team shooting 9-of-35 from the field.

Olaf Schaftenaar led Oregon State (8-3) with 18 points, including four 3-pointers, and also grabbed six rebounds. Malcolm Duvivier had 10 points and four assists while Daniel Gomis added seven points and seven rebounds.

No. Texas 62, Creighton 58

Colin Voss had 16 points and eight rebounds as the Mean Green held off a furious comeback by the visiting Bluejays for a close victory.

Jordan Williams scored 13 points and grabbed seven boards for North Texas (6-4), which shot 6-of-11 from 3-point range. DeAndre Harris had nine points, hitting 3-of-3 from beyond the arc, while Maurice Aniefiok chipped in with eight points.

Toby Hegner had 13 points to lead Creighton (9-4), which shot just 34.4 percent from the field, including 25.6 percent from 3-point range. Isaiah Zierden added 12 points — all on 3-pointers — while Geoffrey Groselle added 10 points.

South Carolina 78, Coker 52

Duane Notice scored 19 points to pace four players in double figures as the host Gamecocks shook off a sluggish start to cruise by the Division II Tigers.

Laimonas Chatkevicius added 16 points and Demetrius Henry set a career high with 16 points for South Carolina (7-3), which extended its winning streak to five games by outscoring the Cobras (3-6) by a 22-10 margin over the final 9 1/2 minutes of the first half. Tyrone Johnson finished with 12 points for the Gamecocks.

Errick Bethel scored 14 points to lead Coker, which has lost four in a row. Jordan Scott added 12 points and Trey James grabbed 15 rebounds for the Cobras, who shot 31 percent from the field and committed 19 turnovers.
