NEW BEDFORD, Massachusetts — An Aroostook County man was arrested in Massachusetts on Monday morning, according to Bay State authorities.
Kevin Murray, 39, of Bridgewater is facing a charge of armed robbery, according to a statement from New Bedford police.
The robbery occurred at a Cumberland Farms at 12:30 a.m., according to the statement. Murray allegedly entered the store armed with a knife and demanded cash. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
Murray was taken into custody after an officer saw him jumping fences in the area of the robbery, according to the statement. The cash was recovered and returned to the store.
Nobody was hurt in the robbery.
