In an effort to encourage more tips, the family of a man killed on Interstate 81 in Pennsylvania is increasing their reward from roughly $22,000 to $50,000. The family’s reward, in addition to the $10,000 being offered by Crime Stoppers, raises the total award to $60,000 for information that leads to a conviction.
On Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at approximately 2 a.m., Timothy Davison of Poland, Maine, was traveling on Interstate 81 in Greencastle when an enraged driver ran him off the road and then shot him multiple times. Police have been searching for witnesses of the crime and the surrounding areas around the time of the incident, and have been unable to make any arrests.
The chasing vehicle is believed to be a Ford Ranger pickup truck, dark lapis blue in color. The suspected killer then fled the scene, driving on I-81 south. The suspect vehicle will likely have some driver’s side or front-end damage.
Lt. Jonathan Mays, Commander of Criminal Investigation Section, Troop H-Harrisburg, says, “Since day one, the Pennsylvania State Police and the family of Timothy Davison have been committed to solving this case and getting justice for ‘Asti.’ This recent announcement by the family shows how far they are willing to go to help get this killer off the streets.”
