NEW LONDON, New Hampshire — Raheem Anderson hit four 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 21 points on Friday night, leading Husson University to an 82-77 North Atlantic Conference men’s basketball victory over Colby-Sawyer.

Trevon Butler posted 20 points and eight rebounds in a balance effort for the Eagles (11-2, 7-0 NAC), who received 12 points from Eli Itkin, 10 points from Aaron Willis and seven points and 10 rebounds from Jacob Moore.

Peter Donato led the Chargers (8-4, 6-1 NAC) with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Wol Majong connected for 17 points. Zach Bean and Koang Thok chipped in with 12 points each.

NEC 81, MMA 67

At Henniker, New Hampshire, the Pilgrims shot 51 percent overall, including a 13-for-25 effort from the 3-point arc, to earn a North Atlantic Conference win over the Mariners.

C.J. Capilets poured in a game-best 28 points behind 8-for-13 accuracy from 3-point range, to lead New England College (7-7, 4-3 NAC). Jonathan Byrnes (7 rebounds) and Dezron Wilson (6 rebounds) each scored 12 points.

Tyler Thayer tallied 16 points to lead Maine Maritime Academy of Castine (1-12, 0-7 NAC). Nick Holt and Brendan Newcomb provided 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Colby 75, Hamilton 70

At Wadsworth Gym in Waterville, Chris Hudnut churned out a game-high 26 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to power the Mules to a New England Small College Athletic Conference victory over the Continentals.

Ryan Jann and Luke Westman scored 12 points each for Colby (10-5, 3-0 NESCAC) and Sam Willson added nine points.

Joseph Lin paced Hamilton (10-5, 0-3 NESCAC) with 23 points, while Ajani Santos and Joe Pucci posted 10 points each.

WVT 77, UM-Fort Kent 64

At Lynn, Mass., UMaine-Fort Kent dropped a well-played contest with the No. 3 team in the USCAA, West Virginia Tech.

UMFK led early after consecutive three point baskets by Marquis Glenn, but that would be the last 3-pointer of the half as the Bengals would go on to miss their next 11 from long range. WV Tech would answer with a 16-4 run to go up 27-13 and then a 35-20 halftime lead.

UMFK’s Joe McCloskey had a tough game inside having to battle against the physical front line of West Virginia Tech. He finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds, but shot just 7 of 21 from the floor. Marquis Glenn had another solid all-around performance with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and a couple of assists.

Women’s Basketball

Husson 63, Colby-Sawyer 58

At New London, New Hampshire, the Eagles held the Chargers to 27 percent shooting to earn a North Atlantic Conference victory.

Chandler Guerrette scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Husson University of Bangor (8-4, 6-1 NAC). Samira Cruz tallied 11 points and five assists, while Vicki McIntyre added seven points and six rebounds.

Kelsey Cahill paced Colby-Sawyer (7-6, 5-3 NAC) with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Jessica Shenkel posted 16 points, Lexi Iannone netted 12 and Kristin Ellis pulled down 12 rebounds.

NEC 51, MMA 35

At Henniker, New Hampshire, Taylor Burgess tallied nine points and eight rebound in a balanced effort that paced the Pilgrims to a North Atlantic Conference win.

Marisa Kopacz finished with eight points and a game-leading 14 rebounds for New England College (12-2, 6-1 NAC).

Mary Badeen’s 13 points led Maine Maritime Academy of Castine (5-9, 2-3 NAC). Kristi Willey added eight points and five rebounds.

Trinity 67, Bates 64

At Lewiston, Emily Llerena, Mackenzie Griffin and Taylor Higgins combined for 51 points on 68 percent shooting to lead Trinity College by Bates in New England Small College Athletic Conference action.

The visiting Bantams (6-9, 1-2 NESCAC) shot 58 percent from the floor as a team while notching their first NESCAC win of the season.

Allie Coppola had 16 points and 14 rebounds, and Bernadette Connors chipped in 14 points to lead the host Bobcats (9-6, 0-2 NESCAC), who were without their leading scorer, senior Molly Brown, for the first time this season. Brown may miss the rest of the season due to injury.

Llerena had 11 rebounds in addition to her game-high 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Griffin shot 7-for-10 from the floor and scored 17 points, including 12 in the second half as the Bantams overcame a 37-28 halftime deficit. Higgins added 16 points on 8-of-13 shooting, to go with a team-high four assists. The Bantams won despite committing 26 turnovers, 18 of them in the first half.

Colby 47, Hamilton 45

At Clinton, N.Y., Colby College’s Haley Driscoll and Carylanne Wolfington scored 11 points apiece and the Mules edged the Hamilton College Continentals in a NESCAC game at Hamilton’s Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.

Sam Graber made a layup that pulled the Continentals within 47-45 with 53 seconds left. Colby missed a 3-point shot on its next possession and Samantha Srinivasan grabbed the rebound for Hamilton.

The Continentals (9-6, 1-2 NESCAC) called a timeout with 17 seconds remaining. Theresa Salud took the inbounds pass, dribbled into the lane and lost the ball. The Mules grabbed the loose ball and called a timeout.

Hamilton was forced to foul and the Continentals put Wolfington on the line for a 1-and-1 with 7.1 seconds to go. She missed the front end and Graber ended up with the rebound. She dribbled into the front-court and launched a 3-pointer that was on target but the shot was short and just grazed the front of the rim. The buzzer sounded as players scrambled for the loose ball.

Caitlyn Nolan chipped in nine points for Colby (11-3, 2-1). Brooke Chandor added eight points and eight boards, and Mia Diplock handed out four assists.
