HENNIKER, New Hampshire — Raheem Anderson hit two key late baskets and Trevon Butler sank two free throws in the closing seconds to help the Husson University Eagles eke out an 82-79 men’s basketball victory over New England College in North Atlantic Conference action on Saturday.
Butler connected for a game-best 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to spark Husson University of Bangor (12-2, 8-0 NAC). Anderson finished with 21 points and Jacob Moore contributed 10 points for the Eagles, who made 11 3-pointers.
Ryan Schmitz led New England College (7-8, 4-4 NAC) with 20 points. Dezron Wilson (7 rebounds) and Jonathan Byrnes tallied 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Pine Manor 99, UMFK 87
At Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, Pine Manor scored 36 points off of 32 turnovers as it defeated the University of Maine-Fort Kent on Sunday to improve to 6-8 while UMFK slipped to 5-10.
Freshmen Curtis Hyman and Chancie Williams each had 21 points to lead Pine Manor.
Sophomore Joe McCloskey scored 26 points for the visitors to go along with 14 rebounds, both game-highs.
Colby-Sawyer 78, MMA 51
At New London, New Hampshire, the Chargers built a 25-point halftime lead on the way to a North Atlantic Conference victory on Saturday.
Peter Donato poured in 27 points to propel Colby-Sawyer (8-4, 7-1 NAC) and Cam Meservey netted nine points.
Tyler Thayer led Maine Maritime Academy of Castine (1-13, 0-8 NAC) with nine points, while Tyler Gilson (7 rebounds) and Nick Holt (5 rebounds) provided eight points each.
Thomas 74, UMF 60
At Farmington on Saturday, the Terriers outscored the Beavers 49-33 in the second half to register the North Atlantic Conference victory.
Mike Akanji logged a double-double for Thomas College of Waterville (7-8, 5-3 NAC) with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Justin Murray provided 21 points and five assists and Adam Carlsen added 10 points.
Uriah Forest-Bulley powered the University of Maine-Farmington (4-10, 3-5 NAC) with a game-high 24 points and nine rebounds. Nick Hilton came up with 10 points and eight rebounds and Eric Berry added eight points.
SMCC 92, EMCC 71
At South Portland on Saturday, Alexander Hartford scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead a balanced attack that pushed the Seawolves to victory over the Golden Eagles.
Atencio Martin scored 11 points with Grayson Waterman and Jack Tolan contributed 10 points each for Southern Maine Community College.
Myles Safford headed Eastern Maine Community College of Bangor with 20 points and eight rebounds and Keyshawn Hampton provided 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Bret Deniger added 17 points and seven assists and Martavious Lockhart added 10 points.
Williams 72, Colby 65
At Waterville on Saturday, the Ephs shot 56 percent from the field to post a NESCAC win over the Mules.
Daniel Wohl led Williams (11-5, 2-2 NESCAC) with 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Mike Greenman scored 16 points and Ryan Kilcullen added 12.
Colby College of Waterville (10-6, 3-1 NESCAC) was paced by Chris Hudnut’s 19 points and six rebounds. Luke Westman, Ryan Jann (8 rebounds, 7 assists) and Sam Willson provided 13, 12 and 11 points, respectively.

UMF 74, Thomas 65
At Farmington on Saturday, the Beavers racked up 42 first-half points on their way to a North Atlantic Conference win over the Terriers.
Kennadi Grover led the University of Maine-Farmington (5-9, 5-3 NAC) with 19 points and seven rebounds while Meghan Smith registered a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds and also had four assists. Lindsay Ranquist added 16 points for the winners.
Ashleigh Grace led all scorers with 24 points to power Thomas College of Waterville (1-13, 0-8 NAC). Katie McAllister scored 13 points, while Jordan Agger-Barnes and Taylor Reynolds netted nine points each.
UMFK 76, SUNY Canton 68
At Canton, New York, on Sunday, the UMaine-Fort Kent Bengals used a 12-2 scoring run in the first four minutes of the second half to take a 41-40 lead and held off SUNY Canton down the stretch for the win.
Ericka Saucier paced UMFK (9-4) with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Danielle Carrillo chipped in with 19 points and 6 rebounds while Kayla Richards added 11 points and 4 assists.
Saltus Taylor sparked SUNY Canton (4-10) with 18 points.
Colby-Sawyer 50, MMA 45
At New London, New Hampshire, Emmani Robinson and Lexi Iannone scored 13 points each to help the Chargers take a North Atlantic Conference victory on Saturday.
Kristin Ellis pulled down 13 rebounds for Colby-Sawyer (8-6, 5-3 NAC).
Kristi Willey (7 rebounds) and Jillian Perron tossed in 12 points each to propel Maine Maritime Academy of Castine (5-10, 2-6 NAC). Mary Badeen added seven points and six rebounds.
NEC 59, Husson 55
At Henniker, New Hampshire, Kayla Lawlor went 6-for-6 from the foul line over the final 2:30 to help the Pilgrims hold on for a North Atlantic Conference win over the Eagles on Saturday.
Taylor Burgess paced New England College (13-2, 7-1 NAC) with a double-double (17 points, 16 rebounds). Lawlor also finished with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. Marjani Lillard added 10 points.
Chandler Guerrette was the lone double-figure scorer for Husson University of Bangor (8-5, 6-2 NAC) with 15 points and grabbed six rebounds. Stephanie Comstock and Samira Cruz added nine and eight points, respectively.

At South Portland on Saturday, Alicia Hoyt picked up a double-double, scoring 19 points and snatching 11 rebounds with five blocked shots to carry the Seawolves to victory.
Kendra Kagiliery and Abigail Nielsen scored 12 points each for Southern Maine Community College.
Eastern Maine Community College of Bangor was led by Jordan Maxwell with 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

At Williamstown, Massachusetts, Ellen Cook connected for a game-high 28 points on Saturday to spark the Ephs to a NESCAC victory over the Mules.
Kellie Macdonald scored 15 points and Devon Caveney added nine for Williams (14-3, 2-2 NESCAC), which held Colby to 29 second-half points.
Mia Diplock led Colby College of Waterville (11-4, 2-2 NESCAC) with 18 points, Carylanne Wolfington scored 16 and Brooke Chandor chipped in with 11.
