BANGOR, Maine — An Augusta man is facing up to 20 years behind bars after pleading guilty to robbing a Rite Aid in September, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

Lance Szady, 26, will be sentenced at a later date. He pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Bangor.

According to court documents, Szady was the getaway car driver for Dominic Pomerleau, who demanded oxycodone from the pharmacy.

Szady had driven Pomerleau to the pharmacy and had waited for him to commit the robbery. Both men and a woman, Nicole Breton, all spent the night at a Chelsea residence consuming most of the pills taken in the robbery.

Breton pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact to pharmacy robbery on Monday while Pomerleau pleaded guilty to robbery on Jan. 23.

Szady also faces a fine of up to $250,000.
