Game notes: The Black Bears look to celebrate Anderson’s “Senior Night,” complete with a beach theme, by winning the conference regular-season title. A win by UMaine and a Stony Brook victory over Binghamton gives the Bears at least a share of the crown and will make them the No. 1 seed for next week’s America East tournament at Vestal, New York. UMaine has won 13 consecutive games after Saturday’s 70-56 win at Binghamton. Sixth-place UMBC has won three of its last five, including Sunday’s 53-51 decision at Hartford. UMaine, ranked 16th in the latest Collegeinsider.com Women’s Mid-Major Top 25 poll, ranks 10th in Division I scoring defense, allowing 53.1 ppg. Anderson is the team’s only senior and the lone holdover brought in by former coach Cindy Blodgett. The former Leavitt High School standout has appeared in 109 career games, making 59 starts, and is a .742 career free-throw shooter.
