BANGOR —The Bangor School Department prekindergarten and kindergarten registration will be held 5-6 p.m. Monday, April 13 at the Fourteenth Street School, 224 Fourteenth St., 941-6350; Abraham Lincoln School, 45 Forest Ave., 941-6280; and Downeast School, 100 Moosehead Blvd., 941-6240; and on Tuesday, April 14, at the Fruit Street School, 175 Fruit St.,941-6270, and Vine Street School, 66 Vine St.,941-6300.
Parents are requested to bring the child’s original birth certificate, immunization record and two proofs of residency, such as a driver’s license, utility bill, tax bill, etc., to the school the child will attend. Children should not accompany their parents at the time of registration. Student orientation will be held on another date. Those have already registered their child do not need to attend this registration.
Prekindergarten is a half-day program for children 4 years old on or before Oct. 15. Enrollment will be limited. Students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. The prekindergarten program will be oriented toward building literacy skills and promoting positive social interaction in a classroom setting. Kindergarten is a full-day program for children 5 years old on or before Oct. 15.
