BANGOR, Maine — Bangor television station WABI-TV’s website is up and running again Wednesday after being shut down briefly, Web Content Manager Nate Blanchette said.
Blanchette said the television station shut down its website for about an hour to ensure a hacker group that took down the Maine government website this week did not do the same to WABI’s Web page.
Mike Palmer, general manager at WVII/WFVX in Bangor, said that station’s website has been shut down for similar reasons.
