Andrew Carter at Byron Community College in Australia has a great, quick video on building a vertical garden out of a pallet.
It’s a really cool way to maximize your space, especially if you have a smaller backyard.
Here’s what you’ll need:
— A hardwood pallet
— Cardboard
— Heavy-duty fabric
— Star pickets
Pallets are plentiful, but make sure you use one that is not made of of pressure-treated wood, to avoid chemicals getting into the soil.
