OAKFIELD, Maine — An Oakfield man was listed in serious condition at a Bangor hospital late Thursday afternoon after suffering injuries in a motorcycle crash Wednesday.
A spokesperson for Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor confirmed the condition of Paul Tarr, 80, who was brought from Houlton Regional Hospital on Wednesday evening.
Tarr was traveling eastbound on the River Road shortly before noon when the accident occurred, Maine State Police Sgt. Josh Haines said in a written statement issued Wednesday.
Tarr suffered unspecified injuries when he lost control of his 2006 Honda motorcycle, which careened off the roadway and went airborne after striking an embankment, according to Haines.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.
Troopers Gavin Endre and Jared Sylvia investigated the crash.
