CHINA, Maine — A Waterville man is recovering after being accidentally shot while turkey hunting in an area off Danforth Road, according to the Maine Warden Service.
Reginald Jacques, 60, suffered injuries not considered life-threatening, according to Cpl. John MacDonald.
Jacques and his wife were hunting when the woman fired her shotgun and inadvertently struck the man, MacDonald said.
The incident was reported shortly after 10 a.m., according to MacDonald.
Both parties are cooperating with the Warden Service and the case remains under investigation.
