Incumbents had a strong night in both Camden and Rockport on Tuesday.
In Camden, incumbent Select Board members John French Jr. and Leonard Lookner were re-elected in a five-way race for two seats. French got 356 votes, Lookner 314, Sally Russillo 245, Marc Ratner 192 and former member Anita Brosius-Scott 179.
French will serve his seventh term while Lookner will begin his second consecutive three-year term.
In Rockport, incumbent Select Board member Ken McKinley was the top vote getter in a three-way race for two seats. McKinley received 282 votes. Owen Casas captured the second seat with 234 votes. John Viehman finished third with 174 votes.
Incumbent Stephanie Lash and Eliza Haselton were elected to the library board in a four-way race.
Camden and Rockport residents gave strong backing to both the School Administrative District 28 budget which oversees the education for students in kindergarten through eighth grades in the two towns as well as the budget for the Five-Town Community School District, which is responsible for the high school.
Camden residents supported the SAD 28 budget 534 to 133 and supported the Five-Town CSD budget 529 to 132. Rockport backed the SAD 28 budget 300 to 110 and supported the Five-Town CSD budget 296 to 115.
Appleton also backed the Five-Town CSD budget 258 to 105.
