SKOWHEGAN, Maine — Local police are investigating the theft of a dog from the area of Water Street last week.
According to a posting on the Skowhegan Police Department’s Facebook page, the alleged theft took place around 6:30 p.m. July 2.
A witness reported seeing a man get into a van with the dog under his arm, according to the posting. The dog had been outside when it was taken.
The van the alleged thief was driving is a maroon minivan.
