HOLDEN, Maine — The town’s fire rescue department is inviting all to attend the grand opening of the new fire station on Main Road, Lt. Christopher Beaumont announced Thursday.

The ceremony will start at noon Saturday and will include speeches from the fire chief, town council chair, fire auxiliary president and a hose uncoupling ceremony.

Station tours and lunch will start at 12:45 p.m., and Glenburn Fire Captain Chris Lavoie will be on hand to play the bagpipes.

The station contains three new fire bays, renovated work and equipment storage areas, a new bunkhouse, office and kitchen space.
