MILFORD, Maine — A person involved in a Sunday morning accident that caused a vehicle to go airborne and smash into two parked cars is not believed to have suffered any life-threatening injuries, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident occurred on Route 2 shortly before 10:30 a.m., Sgt. William Birch said.

Many details were unavailable early Sunday afternoon, but Birch said the vehicle was headed south on Route 2 near the intersection with Call Road when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to careen across a lawn, go airborne and smash into two parked cars.

Birch said deputies had not verified some accounts that suggest the sole occupant of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle by the impact of the crash. The make and model of the vehicle and the name of the driver were not available, he said.

Birch said no other vehicles or people were involved in the accident.
