PORTLAND, Maine — A Buxton man pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court to conspiracy to possess stolen firearms and possession of stolen firearms, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

Robert Pinkham, 20, is one of five family members charged in federal court in connection with a burglary and drug distribution ring in York, Cumberland and Oxford counties. His brothers, Dale Pinkham Jr., 25, and Raymond Pinkham, 21, both of Buxton, pleaded guilty to the same charges Monday.

Their parents, Dale Pinkham Sr., 54, and Louise Cook, 50, both of Buxton also are facing charges.

By pleading guilty Thursday, Robert Pinkham admitted that between August and November 2014, he and his brothers conspired to possess and in fact possessed stolen firearms. A search warrant executed on Oct. 11, 2014, at the Pinkhams’ Buxton home resulted in the seizure of seven stolen firearms from Robert’s bedroom, according to a press release issued by the U.S. attorney’s office.

On Dec. 6, 2013, a search warrant executed at the Pinkhams’ residence in Buxton resulted in the seizure of about 20 grams of heroin and numerous firearms in Dale Pinkham Jr.’s bedroom, the press release said. He was prohibited from possessing guns due to his illegal drug use. Agents also recovered a stolen firearm from a vehicle operated by Raymond Pinkham that day.

The brothers and their parents are being held without bail while awaiting sentencing.

The three sons face up to five years in prison on the firearms conspiracy charge and up to 10 years on the firearms possession charges. They also face fines of up to $250,000 on each charge.

In addition, Dale Pinkham Jr. faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine on the drug conspiracy charge.
