SANFORD, Maine — A local man was arrested Thursday in connection with an armed robbery of a convenience store last weekend, police said.

Matthew Prior, 25, was arrested without incident and charged with robbery, according to a statement from police.

On Oct. 11, Prior allegedly walked into the East Side Convenience store with a handgun, brandished the weapon and fled.

Prior is being held on $10,000 bail at the York County Jail.
