BREWER, Maine — Police are investigating a death that occurred late Tuesday morning at the Cozy Inn on Wilson Street.
Brewer police Lt. Chris Martin said Tuesday evening that a woman died but that there was little additional information he could release about the death, which remains under investigation. The woman’s name and age are being withheld for the time being.
“It’s not being viewed as a suspicious death,” Martin said. He said that Brewer police are being assisted by the Maine State Police. The state medical examiner’s office also is assisting, he said.
Police converged at the inn after receiving a report of a gunshot shortly before 11 a.m.
