At Bangor on Saturday, Raheem Anderson headed a group of six double-figure scorers with 20 points to propel the Eagles to a North Atlantic Conference win over the Pilgrims.
Trevon Butler provided 14 points and five rebounds, Jordon Holmes scored 13 points and Zach Curran contributed 12 points and seven rebounds for Husson (5-2, 4-0 NAC). Darryl Wood and Tyler Norris added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Dezron Wilson poured in a game-high 30 points to lead New England College (3-6, 1-3 NAC). C.J. Capilets added 10 points.
Colby-Sawyer 61, MMA 59
At Castine on Saturday, the Mariners’ late-game rally came up short as the Chargers claimed the North Atlantic Conference victory.
Peter Donato paced Colby-Sawyer (6-3, 2-2 NAC) with 15 points and eight rebounds, while Taylor Grande and Wol Majong added 11 points each and Jake Maynard chipped in with 10.
Brendan Newcomb led Maine Maritime Academy (5-4, 2-2 NAC) with 14 points and Tyler Thayer posted 11 points, five rebounds and five assists. Dylan Stevens and Tyler Gilson each added 10 points.
Plymouth State 69, UMPI 66
At Plymouth, New Hampshire, Curtis Arsenault drained a fall-away 3-pointer from the left wing as time expired, lifting Plymouth State to a dramatic, come-from-behind win on Saturday.
Arsenault paced the Panthers (10-1) with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Brian Bouley connected for 16 points.
Chase Vicaire led the University of Maine-Presque Isle (4-6) with 19 points and four steals. Kevin Collins posted 14 points and seven rebounds and Maurice Harris added 12 points.
Colby 78, Bates 74
At Waterville on Saturday, Luke Westman scored three points during a late run to help the Mules edge the Bobcats in overtime.
Sam Willson (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Patrick Stewart (15 points, 10 rebounds) led 6-1 Colby, which had rallied from a 13-point deficit to send the game into overtime. Ryan Jann finished with 19 points and Westman led all players with seven assists and contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.
Mike Boornazian led Bates (4-3) with 23 points and had seven rebounds. Mike Newton logged a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds and Marcus Delpeche added 16 points and seven rebounds.
Johnson and Wales 65, UMFK 50
At Lynn, Massachusetts, Johnson and Wales surged to a four-point lead at halftime and then outscored UMaine-Fort Kent 36-25 in the second half to earn the win.
Ricardo Suarez recorded 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Johnson and Wales.
Joe McCloskey and Fred Sanchez each scored 10 points to lead UMFK, which was held to a 29.8 percent shooting effort from the floor (17 of 57). Marquis Glenn contributed four assists and five steals.
Thomas 69, UMPI 45
At Presque Isle, the Terriers of Waterville outscored the Owls 43-23 in the second half to roll to the victory.
Tyheem Simon paced Thomas (5-5) with 23 points, six rebounds and three assists. Mike Akanji chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds while Carlos Gonzalez contributed 11 points.
Kevin Collins led UMPI (4-7) with 11 points and Brandon McGill added eight.
Women’s Basketball
Thomas 55, UMPI 45
At Presque Isle, Thomas surged to a five-point lead at the end of the first quarter and then outscored UMaine-Presque Isle 12-4 to start the second to take the victory on Sunday.
Ashleigh Gagne paced Thomas (2-6) with 15 points while Katie McAllister added 12. Tess McClenahan contributed eight points and 16 rebounds, helping the Terriers of Waterville gain a 44-32 team advantage.
Amanda Hotham scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead UMPI (0-9). Brianna Losee chipped in with 13 points and Sydney Churchill netted 10.
UMFK splits weekend
The University of Maine Fort Kent, using just six players due to injuries and some players leaving the team, split a pair of games over the weekend, losing to Norwich 66-60 on Saturday in Northfield, Vermont, and then beating Vermont Tech 71-21 on Sunday in Randolph Center, Vermont.
On Saturday, Norwich surged to a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter and then held off the Bengals.
Shyann Josler paced Norwich (6-4) with 17 points and Arianna Harrison added 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Romanalyn Inocencio scored 23 points to lead UMFK and Ericka Saucier added 22.
On Sunday, Saucier contributed 20 points and eight rebounds to lead UMFK (8-2) to victory. Samantha Carapellucci chipped in with 16 points and 13 rebounds and Danielle Carrillo put in 12 points.
Shana Linwood-McLaughlin led Vermont Tech (2-8) with five points.

At Newman Gym in Bangor, Kenzie Worcester scored 17 points along with five rebounds, four steals and two assists to lead the Eagles to a North Atlantic Conference win over the Pilgrims on Saturday.
Anna MacKenzie posted 13 points and five rebounds for Husson (3-1, 3-0 NAC) while Victoria McIntyre notched a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 17 rebounds. Darla Morales and Chandler Guerrette added 10 points each.
Utshana Durham led a balanced effort for New England College (5-4, 0-3 NAC) with 13 points and Maranda Parker scored 11 points. Tiffany Davis picked up a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, Breana Ramirez chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds, and Marjani Lillard pulled down 10 rebounds.
Colby-Sawyer 51, MMA 47
At Castine on Saturday, the Chargers made three of four free throws in the closing seconds to earn a North Atlantic Conference victory over the Mariners.
Jessica Shenkel led Colby-Sawyer (5-3, 3-1 NAC) with 14 points and Lexi Iannone chipped in with 13 points, six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals.
Alayne Felix led Maine Maritime Academy (4-4, 2-2 NAC) with 13 points and seven rebounds. Kristi Willey contributed 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Bowdoin 71, Colby 55
At Brunswick, the Polar Bears rattled off a 14-0 fourth-quarter run to pull away and beat the Mules.
Shannon Brady tossed in a game-high 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds for 5-2 Bowdoin. Kate Kerrigan scored 10 of her 14 points after halftime and pulled down a team-best nine rebounds with six assists. Marle Curle added 11 points.
Carylanne Wolfington paced Colby College of Waterville (6-2) with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Desi Smith netted 14 points.
