MAPLETON, Maine — A 56-year-old Ashland woman was injured Tuesday when she lost control of her vehicle on Route 11 and it rolled over.

The crash occurred while the woman, whose name was not released, was driving south in her 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser, Maine State Police Sgt. Chadwick Fuller said in a written statement released Wednesday. The release did not indicate what time the crash happened.

Fuller reported the driver lost control of her vehicle, which went off the right hand side of the road and rolled over. The operator, who had been wearing a seat belt, was taken to The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle to be treated for her injuries, which Fuller stated were not life-threatening.

Members of the Maine Forest Service, Ashland Ambulance Service and Ashland Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.

Trooper Gavin Endre investigated the crash.
