CASTINE — Mackenzie Vosburgh scored a career-high 20 points, including six 3-pointers, on Saturday afternoon as Maine Maritime Academy rolled to a 90-56 North Atlantic Conference victory over Lyndon State at Margaret Chase Smith Gymnasium.

The decision provided veteran Mariners head coach Craig Dagan with his 250th career coaching victory.

Alayne Felix tossed in 16 points and Kristi Willey netted 12 for Maine Maritime Academy (13-7, 9-4 North Atlantic Conference).

Aimee Thompson and Mikayla Hodge (11 rebounds) paced Lyndon State (4-15, 3-10 NAC) with 16 points each.

Husson 80, Johnson St. 55

At Newman Gym in Bangor on Saturday, Chandler Guerrette’s 15 points sparked the Eagles to a North Atlantic Conference win over the Badgers.

Victoria McIntyre contributed 14 points and nine rebounds for Husson (15-5, 13-1 NAC), while Rebecca Young posted 10 points and Kenzie Worcester added nine points.

Ashley Goddard logged a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds to lead Johnson State (9-12, 6-8 NAC) and Kasey DeGreenia had 10 points and nine rebounds.

SMCC 102, UMM 92

At Machias Saturday, Southern Maine Community College led by as much as 14 in the second half and held off UMaine-Machias for the win.

Matt Talbot scored 28 points to lead SMCC (12-15), Jordan DeRosby added 19, John Morgan put in 13, Ville Wuorenjuuri netted 12 and Grayson Waterman had 10.

Jorge Milo poured in 30 points to lead UMM (11-10). He also had six assists and five rebounds. Ben Teer contributed 23 points, six rebounds and four assists while Brandon Blakely added 20 points and seven rebounds. Ivory Sneed Jr. chipped in with 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Castleton 59, UM-Farmington 38

At Farmington, Bryanna duPont and Jade Desroches scored 11 points each Saturday amidst a balanced effort as the Spartans took a North Atlantic Conference victory over the Beavers.

Makayla Farrara netted 10 points while Lindsay Sabo provided nine points, five assists and four steals for Castleton (17-4, 12-2 NAC).

The University of Maine-Farmington (11-9, 9-4 NAC), which shot 28 percent and committed 29 turnovers, was led by 13 points and seven rebounds from Meghan Smith.

Thomas 72, Green Mountain 58

At Waterville on Saturday, Katie McAllister led the way with 21 points, going over 1,000 for her career, and snared 14 rebounds to power the Terriers to a North Atlantic Conference win over the Eagles.

Jordan Agger-Barnes contributed a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds for Thomas (3-18, 2-12 NAC), while Taylor Johnson posted 14 points and eight rebounds and Ashleigh Gagne added 12 points.

Sherelle Jackson piled up 29 points and eight rebounds to lead Green Mountain (0-19, 0-13 NAC) and Torie Cowell notched 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Colby 63, Hamilton 51

At Waterville on Saturday, Carylanne Wolfington tossed in a game-high 15 points to held Colby get the NESCAC win over Hamilton.

Haley Driscoll scored 13 points, Desi Smith putin 11 and MaryKate Caverly chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Mules (13-9, 5-3 NESCAC).

Sam Graber’s double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds set the tone for Hamilton (7-15, 1-7 NESCAC), which got 11 points each from Hallie Serbent and Caroline Bennett.

Women’s Hockey

Maine sweeps Merrimack

At Alfond Arena in Orono, Jessica Vallotton registered a hat trick and Meghann Treacy made 19 saves on Saturday as the Black Bears claimed a 4-0 Hockey East victory over the Warriors. Maine beat Merrimack 1-0 on Sunday for a weekend sweep.

On Saturday, Vallotton scored twice in the first period, the second assisted by Nicole Arnold and Cailey Hutchison, then converted a Brooke Stacey pass in the third period for the University of Maine (10-19-2, 6-15-1 HE). Stacey scored the other goal with assists from Catherine Tufts and Alyson Matteau.

Samantha Ridgewell came up with 17 saves for Merrimack (4-25-1, 2-17-1).

On Sunday, Victoria Hummel’s goal at 5:44 of the third period gave the Bears the winning edge. Audra Richards and Brooklyn Langlois picked up assists and Treacy finished with 31 saves.

Johnson St. 101, Husson 95

At Newman Gym in Bangor, Asim Khan poured in a team-high 27 points, including 16 in the second half, to carry the Badgers to a North Atlantic Conference win over the Eagles.

Rahim Bunch tallied 20 points and seven assists, Demetrius Slade provided 19 points and nine rebounds and Donell Shaw added 13 points for Johnson State (8-13, 7-7 NAC), which shot 54 percent for the game.

Raheem Anderson paced Husson (16-5, 12-2 NAC) with a game-high 29 points and Trevon Butler registered 22 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists. Darryl Wood scored 19 points on 9-for-12 shooting and Zach Curran chipped in with 10 points, eight rebounds and five steals.

MMA 67, Lyndon State 56

At Castine, Tyler Thayer connected for 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds on Saturday to spearhead the Mariners’ North Atlantic Conference win over the Hornets.

Zach Radcliffe netted 15 points and Brendan Newcomb came up with 14 points and four assists for Maine Maritime Academy (4-16, 3-10 NAC).

Lyndon State (7-13, 5-9 NAC) received 18 points from Kevin Love and 16 points and eight rebounds from Shaun Hill.

Washington Adventist 73, UMFK 68

At Lynn, Massachusetts, Washington Adventist outscored the University of Maine-Fort Kent 23-12 in the last 8:36 to take the win on Saturday.

The winners from Maryland, ranked No. 4 in the USCAA, were led by Brian Bridgeforth’s 21 points and 12 rebounds and Eric Lindsay’s 19 points. Washington Adventist outrebounded the Bengals 50-32.

UMFK (19-14) was led by Qaadir Ali’s 22 points and 15 points from Mauro Vicic.

SMCC 74, UMM 44

At Machias, Jordan Turner scored 13 points, Maria Veino added 12 and Alicia Hoyt added 11 to help Southern Maine Community College (19-7) roll by UMaine-Machias (5-15) Saturday.

Kali Alley paced UMM with 12 points, Shannon Garland added 11 and Ami Carver grabbed 11 rebounds.

Castleton 62, UM-Farmington 56

At Farmington on Saturday, Rob Coloutti’s 22-point effort was instrumental in the Spartans’ NAC win over the Beavers.

Joshua Horton and Pavin Parrish posted 12 and 10 points, respectively, for Castleton (8-13, 7-7 NAC) and Edmund Fitzgerald pulled down 11 rebounds.

Ryan Camire paced the University of Maine-Farmington (2-18, 2-11 NAC) with 17 points, Ryan Rice scored 10 and Nick Hilton contributed nine points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Green Mountain 98, Thomas 74

At Waterville on Saturday, All five starters finished in double figures for the Eagles, who shot 49.3 percent from the field to earn a NAC win over the Terriers.

Thomas Brown led Green Mountain (17-4, 12-2 NAC) with 23 points and nine rebounds. Cameron Anderson (21 points, 13 rebounds, six assists) and Mychal Parker (13 points, 14 rebounds) each provided a double-double.

Tyheem Simon topped Thomas (11-10, 7-7 NAC) with a game-high 24 points and six rebounds. Levi Barnes scored 19 points.

Middlebury 67, Colby 65

At Middlebury, Vermont, Jack Daly’s fast-break layup with 15 seconds left lifted the Panthers to a NESCAC victory over the Mules on Saturday.

Jake Brown was high man for Middlebury (13-8, 5-2 NESCAC) with 18 points, Adisa Majors scored 14 and Daly finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

Chris Hudnut provided a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds for Colby College of Waterville (13-8, 1-6 NESCAC). Patrick Stewart made five 3’s on his way to 17 points and Ryan Jann added 13 points.
