SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — Two condominiums in South Portland were damaged in an early Sunday morning fire, but officials said no one was injured.
The fire at Ferry Village Landing on High Street caused $150,000 in damage, according to the South Portland Fire Department, which went all hands shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday to call for help from surrounding communities.
It appears the fire started in a third-floor wall and moved to the attic. Firefighters are crediting sprinklers with limiting the damage caused by the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Tenants are staying elsewhere for the time being, officials said.
