HOLIDAY, FLA. – Bruce A. Plourde, 62, passed away on Nov. 16, 2015, at his home in Holiday, Fla. He was born in Bangor on July 24, 1953, the son of Gerald and Gwendolyn Plourde of Old Town.
Bruce was a 1972 graduate of Old Town High School and went on to complete his bachelor’s degree in business marketing at Husson College in 1978. Most of his career was spent working in banking as a loan officer.
A natural born athlete Bruce loved sports, especially playing baseball and football. His favorite teams were the New York Yankees and the New England Patriots.
Bruce also loved animals, especially cats and kittens. He was very much loved by his family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Gwendolyn Plourde of Old Town; brothers, Mike Plourde of Dayton, Ohio, and Dan Plourde of New Port Richey, Fla.; and sister, Suzanne Plourde of Windham. Bruce was predeceased by his father, Gerald Plourde of Old Town.
A private graveside service will be held in June of 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or any animal shelter of your choosing.
