CORINNA – Dorilda M. Worster, 94, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2016. She was born April 13, 1921 in Dexter, a daughter of Thomas and Mildred (Ganeau) Clukey.
Dorilda was employed at the Fred Ray Farm, and the Snowflake Canning Company (both of Corinna), until it was destroyed by fire. She worked at the Dexter Shoe Company in Dexter, and retired from the blanket mill at Eastland Woolen Mill, in Corinna. Dorilda was a long standing member of the Morse’s Corner Baptist Church, also in Corinna.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda and husband David Harvey of Corinth; a brother, Carroll Clukey of Orono; a sister, Gloria Cross of Dexter; 2 grandchildren, Amy and husband Rick Witham of Underhill, VT, Richard Irvin and wife Tara of Orrington; 3 great grandchildren Gregory Pinette of Salt Lake City, UT, Brooks Witham of Underhill, VT, and Aryana Grace Irvin of Orrington. Dorilda loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard in 1985, a daughter, Ann-Marie in 1968, and her brothers and sisters. Some of Dorilda’s best times later in life were with her best friends, Penny and Pauline, and with her brother Jay, all of whom predeceased her.
There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna. Graveside committal services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, May 14th, at the Morse’s Corner Cemetery, Corinna. Memorial donations may be made to the Morse’s Corner Baptist Church Sunday School program, 4 White Road, Corinna, ME 04928.
