ACTON, Maine — A feud between neighbors resulted in a local man going to jail Tuesday night, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

The series of events leading to the arrest of John Charron, 53, started around 11 p.m., when deputies were summoned to Buzzell Road for a reported disturbance, according to Sheriff William King.

Deputies learned a feud between Charron and a neighbor had reached a boiling point. Charron allegedly drove his plow truck to the end of the neighbor’s driveway, squealing his tires and yelling threats, King said.

The neighbor got into a visiting friend’s vehicle, and the victims stated Charron drove toward them with his plow raised, striking the other vehicle with the plow blade going over the hood.

Both airbags deployed because of the impact.

Charron was arrested and charged with aggravated reckless conduct and criminal threatening. The victim suffered bumps and bruises but was otherwise uninjured.

Charron was taken to the York County Jail, where he posted $3,000 cash bail Wednesday afternoon.
