SACO, Maine — A local man was rescued by Saco firefighters Sunday afternoon after his 17-foot boat capsized on the Saco River, U.S. Coast Guard Sector Northern New England spokesman Chris Berry said.
Saco resident Tim Harder’s open center console boat with an outboard motor became disabled and began taking on water while he was on the river. A wave then caught the boat, causing it to overturn, Berry said.
Harder was not injured, Berry said.
