LISBON, Maine — A bicyclist from Lisbon is dead after he was hit by a pickup truck Thursday night.
Lisbon police Chief David Brooks said officers responded to the area of 173 Lisbon St. (Route 196) around 5:12 p.m. Police said a man on a bicycle, 34-year-old Joseph Lamothe, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver of a 2001 Chevy Silverado that hit Lamothe, 52-year-old Henry Raymond Jr., suffered minor injuries.
Brooks said Route 196 was closed on the westbound side for about five hours while Maine State Police helped reconstruct the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
