PORTLAND, Maine — A Scarborough man was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court to 33 months in federal prison for conspiring to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute oxycodone and cocaine, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
Chad Conner, 35, also was sentenced to three years of supervised release.
He pleaded guilty to the charge in October 2015.
Evidence in the case showed that from August 2014 through April 2015, Conner was part of a drug trafficking organization that distributed oxycodone and cocaine from different locations in the Scarborough area, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the federal prosecutors office.
Various co-conspirators would obtain the oxycodone pills and cocaine from out-of-state suppliers, the release said. The drugs then would be brought to various locations in Maine and distributed by Conner and other members of the conspiracy to their customers in the Scarborough area.
Conner faced up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
