BANGOR, Maine — A number of events scheduled in the city this weekend will likely cause traffic holdups in the downtown area, city officials said.
A number of those events are scheduled for Saturday, according to Bangor Parks and Recreation Director Tracy Willette.
Erin’s Run is slated for 10 a.m. on the waterfront, with one inbound travel lane on Main Street scheduled to be blocked. In addition, a religious event, Why Jesus? 2016, will be starting at 8 a.m. and lasting all day at the Cross Insurance Center.
Slight delays are expected on Main Street Saturday morning, along with Sunday morning as Husson University will hold its commencement at the Cross Insurance Center. Parking is available at Hollywood Casino and at arena entrances via Buck Street.
In addition, Interstate 395 will be closed between Exits 1 and 2 this weekend because of a bridge replacement.
