LEWISTON — Officers have arrested and charged two people in connection with the robbery of a Lewiston CVS.

Troy Severance, 36, and Dakota Madore, 18, both of Monmouth, were charged with one count each of Class A robbery in connection with a May 4 robbery at the CVS Pharmacy in Lewiston.

Officers responded to the CVS at 446 Sabattus St. for the report of a robbery around 8:49 p.m. May 4. It was reported that a male, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 in height and about 140 to 145 pounds wearing a dark zippered hoodie pulled over his head, dark pants, wearing dark gloves, sun glasses and a skeleton mask pulled over his face, entered the store. The male then walked directly to the pharmacy and showed the pharmacist a note demanding OxyContin and stated that he didn’t want to shoot anybody. No weapon was displayed. The pharmacist then turned over the requested drugs to the suspect, who then fled on foot.

On Friday, detectives from the Lewiston Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, along with agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and HIDTA, acting on information they received, responded to the Cobbossee motel in Winthrop and located Severance. Later, Madore was located on Route 126 in Wales.

Severance and Madore also are suspects in another pharmacy robbery in another county, and additional charges are pending.
