KENNEBUNK, Maine — A Lyman man was arrested Tuesday after 21 grams of heroin was found on his person, according to state police.
Matthew Petrucci, 20, had been pulled over on the Alfred Road for a traffic violation shortly after 7 p.m., state police Sgt. Jeremy Forbes said.
Troopers discovered Petrucci’s license was suspended and a scale was found on his person, though he claimed to have no drugs on him, according to Forbes.
A state police dog detected some sort of illegal drug on Petrucci, who continued to deny having any drugs, and was subsequently arrested for operating after suspension, the sergeant said.
Once at the York County Jail, Petrucci admitted to having contraband, and the heroin was seized from his groin area.
Petrucci was booked on a charge of aggravated heroin trafficking, a Class A offense. His bail was set at $10,000.
