WINDHAM, Maine — A local man was killed Monday when the pickup truck he was driving struck a trailer being towed by a dump truck, police said.
Joshua Greenwood, 33, was traveling west on Route 302 when he appeared to cross the center line and strike the equipment trailer the dump truck was pulling, Windham police said in a statement.
Greenwood’s vehicle also struck an eastbound sedan before coming to rest on the side of the road. The truck’s driver, Timothy Cleaves, 48, of Yarmouth, and the sedan’s driver, Lillian Campbell, 60, of Casco, were not injured, the statement said.
Greenwood was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash caused Route 302 to be shut down near the entrance to the Seacoast Fun Park to Whites Bridge Road for much of the morning.
The crash remains under investigation.
