BANGOR, Maine — The United Way of Eastern Maine and its 34 partner agencies came together in Bangor on Tuesday morning to make a $10,000 gift to the Circle of Caring.
The Circle of Caring is a social media and fundraising campaign aimed to show support for people struggling with opioid use disorder in eastern Maine.
The agencies came together at People’s United Bank on Main Street to join hands and create a Circle of Caring.
Opiate and drug abuse has been cited as one of the top issues facing Greater Bangor.
