SKOWHEGAN, Maine — Three pitchers combined on a two-hitter as Post 16 of Skowhegan earned a 7-1 Zone 1 American Legion baseball victory over R.H. Foster of Hampden on Tuesday afternoon.
Ryan Emery worked three scoreless innings and Brendan Curran earned the win with three innings of relief. Cody Laweryson worked the seventh inning.
Skowhegan scored five times in the second inning, with Mike Berry, Chase Malloy and Adam Turcotte each stroking a run-scoring single. Malloy finished with three hits and also stole home. Evan Bess posted a sacrifice fly.
Zach Nash singled twice for R.H. Foster in support of losing pitcher Emery Dinsmore.
