At Taylor Field in Bangor, Brewer-Orrington pitchers Gavin Carr and Jacob McKenney combined to pitch a one-hitter to defeat Bangor East 2-1 in a District 3 Little League all-star baseball game Monday..
It was the first game of district play for both teams.
Brewer-Orrington scored its two runs in the first inning — one on a fielder’s choice play and the other on a home run from Logan Levensalor.
Bangor East scored its lone run in the fifth inning. Pitcher Keegan Cyr allowed three hits and struck out six in the tough-luck loss.

At Holbrook, Kaden Beloff hit a home run to help Bronco Little League of Hampden earn the win in a District 3 All-Star game.
Kameron Hale and Max Polo each chipped in with a double and single and Libby Hughes added two singles.
Jordan Kimball and Jon Pangburn each singled for Holbrook.
Hermon 19, Lincoln 4
At Lincoln, Brayden Moses hit a three-run homer, two doubles and drove in six runs, while also striking out six of the seven batters he faced on the mound, to lead Hermon to a tournament-opening victory.
Wyatt Hogan also hit a three-run homer for Hermon and also singled twice and drove in four runs, while Alex Taylor singled three times and drove in two runs, Chris Gage singled twice and drove in a run and Logan Scripture singled three times.
Jackson Sutherland hit a two-run inside the park homer and singled to lead the Lincoln offense, while Matt Noyes smacked a two-run triple and Isaac Hainer tripled.

At Bucksport, Trey Hutchinson recorded a double and two singles to help Bucksport win the District 1 all-star game.
Aric Bray chipped in with a single and triple for Bucksport and Trey Hutchinson added two singles. Cam Rich was the winning pitcher.
Jack Hodgdon notched two singles for Acadian and Luke Horner had a double.
