The Northeastern Primitive Rendezvous, one of the featured activities during the Old Home Week celebration in Orrington, took place this week at the Wiswell Farm.
People from around the country gathered to live in canvas tents, cook over fires, and re-enact the 1640 to 1840 rendezvous lives of the mountain men, fur traders, Indian tribes and others who used to gather once a year for trade and revelry.
Wednesday was the last day the public could visit the encampment and get a glimpse at early American living.
