BATH, Maine — A 34-year-old Bath man was arrested Monday night on Spring Street and charged with stabbing two neighbors following an argument.

Brandon Plummer was charged with elevated aggravated assault, a Class A felony. He remains at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, held on $2,500 cash bail, according to a news release from Bath police Chief Mike Field.

Police went to a Spring Street residence just before 10:30 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a stabbing and found two victims, a 39-year-old Bath man who had been stabbed multiple times in the arm and back and a 19-year-old man, whose address was not released, who had been stabbed in the hand, Field said.

According to the release, a verbal argument between Plummer and his 39-year-old neighbor became physical, and Plummer allegedly began to stab the man several times. The 19-year-old man tried to intervene and allegedly was stabbed in the hand. Plummer then stopped and ran back inside his home.

Police arrested Plummer without incident at his home.

Police recovered a penknife used in the alleged incident Field said, and the investigation continues. The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

According to Field, the 39-year-old man was taken to Maine Medical Center and was in stable condition late Monday night. The 19-year-old man was treated and released from Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
