ST. ALBANS, Maine — Sheriff’s deputies are actively looking for a man allegedly responsible for an assault last weekend.
Rusty Grignon, 34, of St. Albans allegedly assaulted a woman at a Hartland Road residence in the early-morning hours of July 23 but eluded arrest, according to Somerset County Sheriff Dale Lancaster.
The victim had injuries to her face, neck and arms, and had met with deputies in Skowhegan after fleeing the St. Albans residence, according to Lancaster.
After interviewing the victim, deputies went to St. Albans to locate Grignon but could not find him.
The day after the alleged assault, Grignon allegedly confronted the victim at her Skowhegan workplace, creating a disturbance while threatening the victim and another employee, Lancaster said.
Grignon fled before Skowhegan police could arrive.
Grignon has an arrest warrant from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office charging him with domestic violence assault in connection with the St. Albans incident, while he has pending charges from Skowhegan police of domestic violence terrorizing, criminal threatening and terrorizing, Lancaster said.
The public is warned not to approach Grignon, as he may be armed.
Anyone with information on Grignon’s whereabouts should contact the sheriff’s office at 474-6386.
