BIDDEFORD, Maine — Police are investigating the shooting death of a 30-year-old man whose body was found in his Biddeford apartment early Monday morning, reports Portland television station WGME, CBS 13.
Police identified the victim as Jonathan Methot.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland released few details, only saying that detectives and the attorney general’s office are investigating.
CBS 13 spoke with a coworker of Methot who said he gave him a ride home around midnight after Methot told him some “stuff had gone down,” but he said Methot didn’t go into detail about what that meant.
The shooting death has neighbors on edge even though some are not surprised that someone was shot and killed there.
“You know, it don’t blow my mind to be honest with you,” said neighbor Ryan Bouffard.
No arrests have been made, but neighbors said state police told them they have descriptions of people they’re interested in talking with about the case, reports CBS 13.
