BANGOR, Maine — Authorities were searching Tuesday for a prison inmate who walked off a work detail in Bangor, a Maine Department of Corrections spokesman said.

Clyde Cooper, 46, had been in state custody since March 2016. Cooper is serving a four-year sentence, with all but one year suspended, and three years of probation for unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs.

Corrections officials declined to comment further.
