PERHAM, Maine — Speed and alcohol are believed to have contributed to a crash Friday night that claimed the life of a Perham man, Maine State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Clark said Saturday in a news release.
Kyle Goding, 29, was traveling south on Route 228, also known as Perham Road, at a high rate of speed shortly before 11 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a turn, Clark said.
Goding’s 2004 Chrysler Town and Country minivan left the northbound side of the road and then struck a culvert, causing the vehicle to become airborne and roll over several times.
Goding, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from his minivan. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Clark said.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation by Trooper Nathan Desrosier, Clark said.
