LISBON, Maine — At a time when the paper industry is hurting, a Maine printing business is expanding.

Dingley Press in Lisbon says it’s undergoing a $17 million expansion, with the majority of the money going toward a new high-speed printing press. They’ll also add up to 20 new jobs.

Dingley prints hundreds of millions of catalogs a year and says it’s on pace to hit $80 million in sales.

The company even survived the loss of its biggest customer, L.L. Bean, years ago.

The company says it’s most proud of being able to invest in central Maine, which has lost quite a few paper and manufacturing jobs over the last decade.
