BRIDGTON, Maine — Fire destroyed a home in Bridgton, while lightning passed through the region Monday night.
No one was home at the time, and the house on Commons Drive is a total loss.
Multiple departments assisted in putting out the fire, trucking water in from more than 2 miles away.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but officials say it could have started because of a lightning strike.
