A man from Strong was killed Sunday evening when he crashed his pickup in Avon, according to Maine State Police.
Jason Flagg, 41, was driving his truck on Mile Square Road just after 6 p.m., when it left the road, struck a tree and caught fire.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said troopers believe speed likely caused the crash.
This was the fourth fatal crash over the weekend, which included a pickup rollover in Lebanon, a head-on collision in Searsmont and a motorcycle crash in Hollis.
