LEWISTON, Maine — Police in Lewiston are investigating a shooting that took place Sunday night.
The shooting happened on Walnut Street around 9:15 p.m. Sunday. Police have not identified a suspect, according to Lt. David St. Pierre.
They say one person was shot in the leg and brought to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. St. Pierre said the victim has not been cooperative with police.
This is the second shooting in Lewiston in less than a month.
A man was shot in the stomach less than a mile away on Holland Street at the end of September.
Police are still investigating but say there is no risk to the public.
