Game notes: UMaine will attempt to win a third straight home game for the first time since the 2012-13 season when it faces CCSU of the Northeast Conference. The Black Bears are 2-1 at the Cross Center this year, while CCSU is 1-5 on the road. UMaine is coming off a 72-46 loss at Duquesne on Sunday. CCSU lost three of its past four games, most recently an 87-63 defeat at Providence, also on Sunday. Coach Donyell Marshall’s Blue Devils own two victories over America East opponents, a 75-68 decision at Hartford on Nov. 6 and an 86-74 home win over Massachusetts Lowell on Nov. 13. CCSU leads the NEC and ranks 27th nationally with its .761 free-throw shooting percentage. UMaine is shooting .652 from the line. The Black Bears are hosting an Ugly Holiday Sweater Day featuring Christmas music and a contest for the ugliest sweater. UMaine has two more nonconference games, at Rutgers on Dec. 29 and at Brown on Jan. 2, before playing its America East opener at defending conference champion Maryland Baltimore County on Jan. 5.
